Obituary
Thomas Isaac Henderson of Huntsville, Alabama was born on October 27, 1997 in Bangkok, Thailand.
He passed away on February 7, 2023 at the age of 25. God granted John and Teresa Henderson the
privilege of being his parents. They adopted Thomas and brought him home in March 1999.
He was preceded in death by two siblings, John Daniel and Emily Kate Henderson.
He is survived by his wife Jessica Lyn (Fouse) Henderson, his parents John and Teresa Henderson, his brother
Nathan Henderson,Nathan’s wife Ashley, and sister Catherine Henderson.
Thomas truly lived up to his middle name, an Old Testament name which means laughter. Thomas’s
favorite song when he was younger was “Don’t Worry Be Happy” by Bobby McFarrin, which perfectly
matches his carefree enthusiasm for openly helping and serving others, collecting street signs, and his
need for driving a little faster than the speed limit. His contagious joy for life and his brilliant smile
endeared him to everyone who he encountered. While working a part time job in high school, Thomas
met the woman who would later become his wife, and Jess remained the love of his life until the very end.
Their undying love and immense devotion for each other were readily apparent to all who were blessed to
know Thomas and Jess as a couple.
Thomas and Jess were married in 2020 and lived together with their two cats, Cricket and Honey, whom
Thomas loved dearly. They spent their days together living life to the fullest: enjoying one another,
traveling, spending time outside, worshiping together, and spending time with dear friends. He was a
wonderful husband, always making time for laughter, hand-squeezes, and dancing in the kitchen.
Thomas was well-known for his natural aptitude with various tools and machines, which was evident
through his perseverance in pursuing his goal of a mechanical engineering degree from The University of
Alabama in Huntsville. He was a beloved member of his team at Radiance Technologies, where he
worked as a Research and Development engineer and was a constant source of positivity and light to all
of his co-workers.
Thomas was a shining example of the love and joy of his Heavenly Father, who he faithfully served
throughout his life. He was a member of Grace Community Church with his wife, Jess.
His infectious personality and contagious smile will be truly missed by all who had the privilege to know
him. Thomas’ devotion to his Lord and Savior was evident through the end, and his loved ones take
comfort in the fact that he now stands, free from all sickness and disease, before the Throne of God in
Heaven.
Thomas will be laid to rest at Huntsville Memory Gardens, 6810 University DR NW, Huntsville, Alabama
in a private family service with Paul Lamey, Pastor of Grace Community Church officiating.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Reformed University Fellowship, which was a
very influential part of Thomas’s and Jess’s lives and faith while in college.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service honoring Thomas on Saturday, February 25th, at 2:00 pm at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 5744 Oakwood Rd., Huntsville, Alabama 35806.
