Susan "Sue" D. Cowsert

Obituary

After a wonderful life Susan “Sue” D. Cowsert peacefully left her loving family to be with the Lord on Monday, October 23rd, 2023. She was born on June 30th, of 1950 in Muncie, Indiana to parents Wayne and Margie Deavers.

Sue dedicated several years doing clerical work at Open Door Health Services and retired in 2017. Sue was involved in what seemed like just about everything. She was involved in her Church’s youth group at Bradenton Gospel Tabernacle for several years with her loving husband, Herman. Sue and Herman were married for 32 years. Sue collected what seemed to be hundreds of lighthouse trinkets. She also loved to cook and bake for just about anyone that knew her. 

Sue is survived her husband and best friend, Pastor Herman Cowsert; sons, Mike (Jeri Dawn) Gibson, and Adam (Stephanie) Cowsert; daughter, Tammy (Ron) Taylor; brothers, Jesse Deavers, Terry Deavers, Richard (Tamara) Deavers; sisters, Holly (George) Chance, Crystal (Martin) Satz; grandkids, Mike Gibson and family, Cheyenne Gibson, Ronald, Alex, and Jordan Taylor, Harmonie Cowsert; and several nieces and nephews.

Sue was preceded in death by her mother Margie; and son Donnie (Kimberly) Gibson.

Donations will be made to a charity of the family’s choice. Flowers will also be accepted.

Services for Sue will be held at Garden View Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 31st, 2023. 
Visitation will take place from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM and the funeral service will begin at 5:00 PM with Reverend Ron Taylor.
