Sooknarine
"Sam" Sampath, July 23, 1958 – December 12, 2024, Sun City Center, Florida.
It is with heavy
hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Sooknarine “Sam” Sampath
as knowns as Chile, at the age of 66, on December 12, 2024, in Sun City Center,
Florida.Sam is survived by his three daughters, Samantha, Stacy Ann, and Sidney,
who will forever cherish his love and guidance. He also leaves behind his
loving brothers, Samnarine, Arthur, Sookoo, and Narine, and his
sisters, Indra and Vashti, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and
nieces/nephews who held him dear.
He was preceded
in death by his beloved parents, Sonnylal and Jasso Sampath, his
uncles Jainarine, Jaikaran, Deo and Boysin and his aunts Dodo, Basso,
and Soda. Sam was also preceded by his cousin Dial, who was like a brother
to him. As well as his loving nephew Raj.
Born on July 23,
1958, in Couva, California, Trinidad and Tobago, Sam moved to Tampa, Florida,
in 1988 with his family. A dedicated and hardworking man, Sam worked for
Hillsborough County for over 36 years, retiring just recently. He was
well-known in the community not only for his strong work ethic but for his kind
heart and willingness to help others in their time of need. His daughters will
always remember him as a warm, loving father who was there for them in every
moment, big and small.
Sam had a deep
passion for mechanics, and his love for working with cars was evident to all
who knew him. Whether it was a simple repair or a complex project, Sam was
always eager to lend a helping hand, offering his knowledge and friendship
freely. His resilience, infinite love, and the joy he brought to others will be
cherished forever.
The family
extends heartfelt thanks to the ICU team at St. Joseph’s
Hospital-South for their compassionate care during his final days.
A funeral service
will be held at 10:00 am on December 20, 2024, at Serenity Meadows
Funeral Home. All are welcome to join the family in celebrating Sam's life and
legacy.
