Obituary

Samantha Irene Gillespie of Lansing passed away unexpectedly on July 8, 2023. Sam is now at peace and at home with the Lord. She was born April 22, 2003 in Lansing to Larry and Tracie (Pounds) Gillespie. Sam graduated from Eastern High School in the Class of 2022. She was creative and artistic. She enjoyed drawing and painting. Sam loved animals, especially her two cats. She seems to have been taken home too soon but will never be forgotten and her memory cherished.

She is survived by her parents, Larry and Tracie Gillespie; brother, Scott; grandma, Linda Foster; aunt, Pamela Marshall; uncles, Greg Marshall and Jarrod (Yuka) Pounds.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 18, 2023, 1:30 PM at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Tuesday at the Holihan-Atkin-Barclay Funeral Home in Grand Ledge from 11-1:00 PM.
