Obituary

Roy F. Bricker Jr., a treasured member of the Hartford City, Indiana community, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2024, at the age of 93. Born on June 6, 1931, in Muncie, he was the son of Roy F. Bricker Sr. and Mable E. (Wright) Miller.
Roy served his country with honor in the United States Air Force, where he was a skilled radar technician and played baseball in the Air Force Baseball League. His service was a source of great pride throughout his life.
Roy was a devoted husband to Mary (McFadden) Bricker, with whom he shared nearly 64 years of marriage. Together, they enjoyed participating in Euchre Clubs and exercising at Taylor University three times a week. Roy also had a deep passion for experimental aircraft, wood carving figurines, and cherished spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Roy is survived by his beloved soulmate, Mary (McFadden) Bricker; his son, David Bricker, his daughter, Rebecca Irwin; grandchildren Jessica and Ashley Irwin, and Payten Reynolds; great-grandchildren, Caiden, Leighton, and Colsten Gadbury, Klayten and Kaleb McCammon; and several nieces and a nephew.
Family and friends may call at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N St. Rd. 3, Muncie IN 47303, on Thursday, August 29th, 2024 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM. Additional calling hours will be held Friday, August 30, 2024 from 10:00 - 11:00 AM. The Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM with Pastor Ron Johnson officiating at Garden View Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. The family has entrusted the arrangements to Garden View Funeral Home; online condolences can be made at www.gardenviewandgardensofmemory.com.
Flowers are welcome, and for those who wish to make a donation in Roy’s honor, contributions can be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children or any other children's hospital.
