Rose Hester Fields Montgomery, 84, resided in Indianapolis, IN, born July 04, 1940, in southeastern Kentucky to Sally A Collins Fields and Robert Fields. And passed October 27, 2024, in the care of Majestic Care of Avon, Indiana.
Rose married her husband, Robert Montgomery, on January 25, 1957, and together they shared 53 years of marriage.
Rose lived a life full of family and friends. She worked at Lums, Steak ‘n Ale, Coachman, and finally Outback before retiring at the age of 65.
Rose is survived by Sally A Montgomery (Clarence) Cook (daughter); Michael J Montgomery (Rachel) (grandson), Geri M Cook (granddaughter); Keynin B Nicholson (great-grandson), Robert M Montgomery (great-grandson), Zoey L. Johnson (great-granddaughter), Ava Alig (great granddaughter); Brothers and Sisters: Emily, Jolene, and Gene; Many Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, and many, many dear friends.
Rose is preceded in death by Robert E. Montgomery (spouse); Robert J. Montgomery (son); Victoria R. Cook (granddaughter); Robert Fields (father); Sally A Collins Fields (mother); Brothers and Sisters: Arnold, Orville, Johnnie, Miriam, Carrie, Joseph, and Claude.
A visitation for Rose will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The funeral service will be on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at 5:00 pm. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens at a later date.
For those choosing to make a memorial contribution, the family suggests that donations be sent in lieu of flowers to the American Alzheimer's Association.
The service will be held at Forest Lawn in Greenwood, Indiana, where she will be placed beside her loving husband, son, and granddaughter.
