Obituary

Robert Paul Zufall, 84, of Greenwood, Indiana passed away on October 17, 2024, at Greenwood Village South, surrounded by his children and his GVS family. Bob was born on February 9,1940 to Paul Edward and Mary Lucille (Charlesworth) Zufall of Lafayette, Indiana. Bob excelled at basketball, playing the saxophone, and flying lessons while attending Otterbein High School. Following graduation in 1958, he started working at Kroger. He married the love of his life, Judith Lea Brock on August 22, 1959. They were married for over 40 years. In 1964, Bob transferred from the store produce manager to the transportation department located in Indianapolis. Bob and Judy relocated to Greenwood, Indiana in 1964 to be closer to Bob’s employer. As the kids got older, Bob completed his training for his pilot’s license that he had started at Purdue University during high school. Bob loved flying his 1946 Luscombe airplane, camping with his family and friends, fishing trips to Canada, vacations to Vero Beach, Florida to fly with his friend Carl, and shopping at the Nashville Christmas store. After his retirement from Kroger, Bob served as president of the Wally Byam International Airstream Club. 
Bob leaves behind his children, Brenda K. Dixon, Robert E. Zufall, and Kimberly S. (Mike) Duke; grandchildren, Mary M. Dixon and Robert J. Zufall; and great grandchild, Allison Marie Davidson; his brother, John (Susan) Zufall, his sister-in-law, Jonetta Zufall; nieces and nephew. 
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Judy, and his brother Tom Zufall. 
Bob will be missed by anyone who was lucky enough to have a conversation with him. 
A visitation for Bob will be held on Monday, October 28, 2024, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. The funeral service will be on Monday, October 28, 2024, at 2:00 pm. Entombment will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens at 3:00 pm.
