Obituary

Robert M. Cox, 82, passed away on Friday October 21, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his family, He was born November 11, 1939 in Handfield, IN. He was the son of the late Harold and Hazel "Circle" Cox.

He was a truck driver for 24 years, working for Essex Wire retiring in 1984. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force / Army. 

He married Janet A. "Marston" on March 13, 1960 in Portsmonth, NH.

He is survived by his wife of almost 63 years, Janet  A. "Marston" Cox, 3 sons: Brian K. (Shelly) Cox of Ft. Wayne, IN., Greg D. (Tyra) Cox of Upland, IN., Brad A. Cox of Upland, IN., 5 grandchildren: 3 great grandchildren: 6 siblings: Kathryn of Florida, Paul of Fairmount, IN., Twin Sister Pauline of Ohio, Patty of Tennessee, Bill of Upland, IN., Marilyn of Oklahoma and several nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers.

Calling will be on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 ar Covington Memorial Funeral Home at 8404 Covington Rd. Ft. Wayne, IN 46804 from 12:30 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. Service will be at 1:00 P.M. on November 2, 2022. Burial will follow at Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be directed to donors choice.
