Obituary
Ray Donald Trigger,
formerly of Boalsburg, beloved father and cherished friend, peacefully passed
away on November 2, 2024, surrounded by the loving care of his daughter,
Jessica Trigger, and son-in-law Jonathan Palermo, of Vermont. For several years,
they provided unwavering support and care following Ray's brave battle with the
effects of a debilitating stroke.
Born on August 9, 1946, in Caroline County, Virginia, Ray was the second of
five children born to William Henry Trigger and Louise Lee Martin. He is
survived by his younger sister, Diane Satterwhite, and was preceded in death by
his older brother, William Henry Trigger; his older sister, Evelyn Covington;
and his younger brother, Terry Trigger.
As a teenager, Ray moved to Centre County, Pennsylvania, where he met and
married the late Maxie Lee Johnson. Together, they built a warm and loving
home, raising four children: Lori, Kevin, Todd, and Jessica. Ray's beloved
daughter, Lori, preceded him in death a few years ago.
Ray's legacy continues through his four treasured grandchildren: Lucas Trigger,
Jacob Trigger, Wade Bonsell, and Hope Bonsell, as well as his two
great-grandchildren, Heath Bonsell and Lana Bonsell. Ray is also survived by his good friends William and Dorothy Eminhizer of Milesburg,
Pennsylvania as well as a many other friends in the Centre County area who
meant the world to him.
A private ceremony will be held at the Chapel Mausoleum at Centre County Memorial
Park, State College, PA, on Monday, November 11, 2024, where Ray will be
interred, joining his loved ones in eternal peace. He will be remembered for
his humor, love, and the lasting impact he left on all who had the privilege of
knowing him.
