There is a small pond and stream, which flows through the beginning of the park and under a small bridge that you have to cross to get to the main cemetery. The cemetery has 18 sections, some with lovely gardens, and there are several sections that are dedicated to the veterans. Some have a wonderful view of the bay, which looks out from the top of the grassy hill.
Newport offers cremation, traditional and lawn crypts burials, as well as a community mausoleum with indoor and outdoor crypts and niches.
