Obituary
Nevelyn Fae McGough, Indianapolis, passed away on October 31, 2024. She was 95 years old. Nevelyn was born in Brown County, IN to her parents George and Ethel Horner. She graduated from Beech Grove High School alongside her twin sister, Evelyn. Nevelyn married her husband, Richard “Dick” McGough, and they shared many years together until he passed away in 2006.
Nevelyn worked as an Insurance Agent for her entire career and retired after many years of service. Nevelyn was a member of St. Jude's Catholic Church with her husband for many years. Nevelyn participated in the prayer line at the church as well as the Widows Club for many years. Nevelyn was known to enjoy the classic shopping and lunch combination. She was fiercely independent and loved to spend time with her beloved family. She will be dearly missed by those she leaves behind.
Nevelyn is survived by her daughter, Lana Boyer Bell; her daughter-in-law, Shannon Boyer; her son-in-law, James Holderman; her 8 grandchildren; her 10 great grandchildren; her 2 great great grandchildren; her several nieces and nephews.
Nevelyn is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard “dick” McGough; her children, Terry and Michael; her 6 siblings.
There will be a visitation for Nevelyn on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. The funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on November 13, 2024. Entombment will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens at 2:00 pm.
