Obituary
Maxine Lynn Clark, Indianapolis, IN, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024. She was 70 years old. Maxine was born in Nashville, TN to her parents Herman Clinard and Ruby Eileen Lemon. She graduated from Emmerich Manual High School, class of 1972. Maxine married her husband, Daniel Clark, and they shared many years of marriage together until Daniel passed away in 2018.
Maxine worked as a Clerk for the Marion County Government and retired after several years of service. Maxine enjoyed traveling with her husband and hitting the casinos. She loved spending time at the beach and at her condo in Florida. Maxine loved reading; Danielle Steel was one of her favorite authors. She enjoyed solving word searches and jigsaw puzzles while listening to her favorite singer, Elvis Presley. Maxine loved animals and enjoyed raising several cats and dogs during her life. Maxine was family oriented and enjoyed spending time with friends and family, especially during the Christmas holiday season. She will be dearly missed by those she leaves behind for her sense of humor and loving nature.
Maxine is survived by her daughter, Samantha (Bob) Sims; her granddaughter, Apiphani Sims; her siblings, Carolyn (Bucky) Greeson, Terry Clinard, and Robert (Kim) Lemon.
Maxine is preceded in death by her parents; her husband.
There will be a celebration of life for Maxine at the Church of Christ (6920 E. Stop 11 Rd, Indianapolis, IN, 46237) on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 11:00 am.
