Obituary
Mrs. Mary Theresa Yancey, age 79, of Gadsden, Alabama peacefully left
this world August 25, 2024.
Mary was a devoted servant of the Lord, living her life as a prayer warrior
with a heart full of faith. Her unwavering dedication to her family was
evident in every aspect of her life. Her children and grandchildren were her
greatest joy!
She was a loving wife to her husband of 56 years, Alton Ray Yancey.
Together, they built a family rooted in love, faith and service. Mary is
survived by her daughter Paige Black and her husband Nick, her two sons,
Brett Yancey and his wife Carrie and Kurt Yancey and his wife Renae. She
also leaves behind seven cherished grandchildren, McKenzie Black
Johansen (Brad), Kylie Black Ayers (Taylor), Savanna Yancey, Sydney
Yancey, Sarakate Yancey, Paxton Yancey, Presley Yancey; chosen
daughter Hope Burke (David) and grandson Kingston.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 -12:00 Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at
Crestwood Funeral Home, Gadsden, Alabama. The funeral service will
begin at Noon.
