“Another angel has gone to be with the Lord”.
Marge went to be with the lord after a long battle with Parkinson’s and Rheumatoid arthritis.
Born in Rochester, New York to James and Bertha Johnson, Marge grew up loving to go skating and being a cheerleader. After she graduated from high school, she joined the navy as a storekeeper, and served in Washington, DC. While in the navy she met her late husband, David E. Hedrick, and started a family. She had three children, Cindy Brooks (Tony), Jim Hedrick (Tammy), and John Hedrick (Denise). Marge had six grandchildren, William Brooks (Anna), Adam Brooks (Jenna), Kelli McCarthy (Will), Amanda Estes (proceeded by Marge), Pete Spallone (Marlo), Danny Spallone (Marilyn) and thirteen great grandchildren.
Marge volunteered at Halifax hospital in the gift shop and with the newborn babies. She was always the best dressed and took pride in how she looked.
After the passing of her husband, Marge moved into Countryside Lakes, where she met some wonderful friends. She really enjoyed living at Countryside Lakes. After leaving Countryside Lakes due to complications, she went to the Emory L. Bennett Veterans’ nursing home. The care that Marge received at the nursing home was wonderful and caring. The staff was amazing to her.
Marge will be greatly missed by many people she touched in the time she had with us all. May God be with you mom.
