Obituary
Larry Miller, 69, of Covington, GA, passed away unexpectedly on May 28th. "Killer Miller", as he was known by family and friends was an avid writer, innovator, and sports enthusiast. His greatest passion was his family, and through the years he became the patriarch, a man who extended guidance and support.
Larry was born on August 7, 1953 in Lansing, MI, the son of Claude Lee Miller, Sr. and Katherine (Watkins) Miller. After graduating from Sexton High School in 1972, he matriculated at Davenport University, earning his Associate's degree in Accounting. Following college, Larry went on to work at General Motors as a skilled tradesman in 1976 and retired in 2013.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Essex and Lesley (Fionn); bonus children, Dakeita and Darrell; grandchildren Landon, Payton, Paisley, Essex Jr., Ezion, Aiden, Taylor Zy'anna, Ella Nora, Alicia, Rico Jr., Deonte' Treevious and Destiny; brothers, Barry (Carlus) and Lewis (Janice) and sister Theresa; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents Katherine Miller and Claude Lee Miller Sr.; bonus son Darico; and brothers David and Claude Jr.
We will greatly miss his smile, laugh, humor, his empathy and his big heart. While our hearts are broken, our faith is strong, knowing he now celebrates in heaven with Jesus and those that passed before him.
A memorial service for Larry will be held at 11AM Saturday, July 15th at Faith Fellowship Baptist Church, 1001 Dakin St, Lansing, MI 48912.
