Obituary
On June 25, 2024, Kenneth M. Klieback, formerly of Madison, CT, passed away at the age of 80, in Palm City, Florida.
Alongside his lifelong love for tennis, Ken found joy in playing golf and traveling, but, above all, Ken’s heart and soul belonged to his wife, Deborah, whom he cherished for 51 years. Ken had an accomplished career in banking, most notably at Hartford National Bank and UPS Capital where he was the head of operations.
He had a natural gift for leadership, compassion, and team building that carried through all parts of his life, whether it was captaining his college tennis team, serving in the Army Reserves, helping his colleagues realize their full potential, or coaching Little League. Ken held his friends and family close to his heart, finding immense joy and fulfillment in the bonds he cultivated. He could always be counted on to provide the best hugs and the most genuine laughs. His quiet strength, wisdom, calm spirit, and genuine affection for others were some of his defining characteristics, leaving a lasting and meaningful mark on all who knew him. Ken’s beautiful backhand and smooth golf swing, not to mention his whopping 3 hole-in-ones, were the envy of all. He loved to watch tennis and share his own commentary with his cherished god daughters, Alyssa and Rebecca, and his sister Lisa. He loved watching Roger Federer and it is fitting how he admired his grace, consistency and talent-just as Ken’s family and friends always viewed Ken as the ultimate class act.
Preceded in death by his parents, Morris and Marie Klieback of West Hartford, CT, and by his brother, Ray Ransom, Ken left behind his beloved wife Deborah (Bradshaw), his brother, Ron Ransom and his sister, Lisa Warren. He will also be deeply missed by his sisters-in-law, Sharon Sandstrom and Kate Spearin, brothers-in-law Lyell Warren and Greg Bradshaw, and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
