Obituary
Joyce Ann (Clevenger) Niccum, 88 of Muncie, passed away Wednesday, October 30th at Signature HealthCare of Muncie, IN
She attended Royerton schools, graduating in 1954. Joyce and her husband Freddie were owners of Big Oak Park for many years. During the school year, she worked at Wes-Del schools as a "lunch lady". Joyce enjoyed being around children. She loved attending ball games, athletic and school events of her great grandchildren. Cooking and baking were some of her favorite things to do. At Halloween, each year she loved making and giving popcorn balls. She also had a knack for attracting stray cats and kittens. They always had a home on her back deck at her house. Joyce was a devoted wife, mother and Meme (grandmother).
She is survived by her daughter Carol Niccum of Indpls, grandson Curtis Howard (Ashley) of Albany, and 3 great grandchildren, Cody, Carly and Clayton Howard of Muncie/Albany
Joyce is preceded in death by : her husband, Freddie A. Niccum, her daughters, Coni J. Silvers Craig and Cathy A Howard, and son in law John E. Howard
Family and friends may call at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N St. Rd. 3, Muncie IN 47303, on Thursday, November 7th, 2024 from 12:00 - 1:00 PM. The Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM at Garden View Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
