Obituary
John Anthony Mack, 86, of DeLand, Florida, passed away peacefully
on October 15, 2024 with his loved ones by his side.
Born on July 26, 1938, John’s life was marked by a diverse
career that spanned radio broadcasting, transportation and logistics, and
corporate finance, after which he retired near his family in DeLand.
John attended St. Cyril and Methodius Catholic School in
Brooklyn, New York, and was a graduate of Hunter College in New York City, New
York.
A loving and spiritual man, John was known for his fun-loving
personality. He had a rich life filled with passions that included being a
movie buff, enjoying all genres of music, attending Broadway theater, and
embracing everything Disney.
John was a devout member of St. Peter Catholic Church in
DeLand, Florida where he found great solace and community.
He leaves behind his partner of 52 years, David Denenberg;
his sister, Anna Rusielewicz; and he was a beloved uncle to many nieces and
nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Helen
Maciorowski; his brothers, Stanley and Henry Maciorowski; and his brother-in-law,
Henry Rusielewicz.
A graveside service will be held at DeLand Memorial Gardens
in DeLand, Florida, honoring John’s life and legacy.
