Obituary
James Thomas Ferry, Sr., 64, of Longwood, Florida passed
away peacefully on October 27, 2024. He was born at Patrick Air Force Base on December
13, 1959 to Ike and Elizabeth (Reddrick) Ferry.
Jimmy left school at a young age to set out on his own, becoming
a mechanic and building himself into the man we all knew and loved. He would
work his way up into a position where he was able to open his own business,
C&J Towing, with his wife, Chrysti. Together, they ran the company for over
thirty years. He built a legacy of hard work, and always having time to help to
anyone who needed it. From the open road on his motorcycle, to the underwater
adventures of SCUBA diving, he had a vast array of hobbies and interests that
created the icon of a man we all know as Jim Ferry. He lived a good life, left
a grand legacy, and will be forever missed by all who loved him. Jimmy had a
heart of gold and the hardest working hands of anyone who knew him will ever
know.
Jimmy leaves behind his loving wife of 32 years, Chrysti
Ferry; his son, James Ferry, Jr.; his family in law, Cathy (Chris) Festel,
Peggy Tapp, Pamela (Leonard Bob) Phillips, Mary (Brian) Birtcher, Phillip
(Amber) Lance, Sarah (Shawn) Blickenstaff; his sister, Joy Hamer; his brother,
James (Becky) Gowan; his nieces, Clarissa Barros, Danielle Wheeler, and
Elizabeth Alley; and his honorary daughter, Tabatha Kaley.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life on November
19, 2024 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the Longwood Community Center.
