JAMES D. CLARK

Obituary

ames D. Clark, 89, of Lancaster entered eternal rest on Monday, June 26, 2023 at The Garden at Stevens Nursing Home. He was the widower of Janet (Anderson) Clark.

He was born on December 2, 1933 in Lenoir, NC and was the loving son of the late Walter H. Clark, Sr. and Jessie M. (Hauck) Rose.

James was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

He enjoyed working with his hands and helping his family with anything from woodworking to renovating homes, golfing at Beaver Bend, watching golf on TV, and watching his favorite team the Phillies.

In addition to his parents and wife, James was preceded in death by his son, Russell E. Clark; brother, Walter Clarke, Jr; several stepsiblings.

James is survived by his daughter, Tamara L. Clark of Manheim; nephews, Mark Clarke (Atsuko) of Middletown, Bruce Clarke of MD; niece, Valerie Stricker (Greg) of Hummelstown; several other extended family members.

A tribute to James's life will be held on Friday, July 7, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 260 E. Main St. Middletown, PA with Rev. Britt Strohecker officiating. There will be a visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Friday. The service will be live streamed for those who are unable to attend in person. Interment with full military honors will be at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg.
