Obituary
Geraldine
“Gerry” Neese passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family.
Saying goodbye is never easy, especially to someone who embodied such strength
and fierce love. For over 40 years, Gerry was the heart of our family,
enriching our lives with her laughter, wisdom, and unwavering support. Her
absence leaves a profound void.
Gerry made a lasting impact on countless
lives through her dedicated volunteer work. For over 20 years, she served in
the nursery at First United Methodist Church of Brandon and was actively
involved in various church ministries, including Kairos and Emmaus. Her church
family was vast, and her love and compassion extended to many within and beyond
the church community.
A devoted member of the Business &
Professional Women of Florida, Gerry was a passionate advocate for women in the
workplace. She mentored young women and volunteered her time generously. Her
role in managing the BPW booth at the Strawberry Festival was pivotal in
raising funds for scholarships to support women in need.
Gerry is survived by her grandchildren:
Dannielle and her son Tyler, Frederick (Gene) and his sons Aiden and Bryce, and
John. She is also remembered fondly by her brother Louie, his three daughters,
and their children. Her legacy of love and strength will continue through them,
serving as a lasting source of joy and inspiration.
Though Gerry is no longer with us in
person, her enduring strength, love, and laughter will forever remain in our
hearts and minds. A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 28th at 1:30pm at New Hope Church, 213 N Knights Ave, Brandon, FL 33510.
