Donald Lee St. Clair

May 4th, 1937 - August 17th, 2024

Obituary

Donald Lee St. Clair, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at the age of 87. Born on May 4, 1937, in Boonville, Indiana, Don was the son of Delphia and Lillian St. Clair.
Don's early years were spent in Evansville, Indiana where he graduated from Bosse High School. At the age of 16, he became the State Archery Champion, a title he proudly held throughout his life. He continued his education at Evansville College before serving his country in the Army Reserves for nine years.
Don had a long and successful career, with notable positions at Family Financial and CIT Financial Services. He found his true calling at Tom O'Brien Chrysler Plymouth, where he served as the Business and Financial Manager for 37 years, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues and clients alike.
Beyond his professional achievements, Don had a rich and fulfilling personal life. He was an adventurer at heart, enjoying travels around the world with his beloved wife, Martha, to whom he was married for 31 wonderful years. He also found joy in cooking, savoring fine wine, his chickens, and his dog, Rufus. Don was an active member of his community, involved with the Kiwanis Club, Hopewell Presbyterian Church, the Indianapolis Scottish Society, and he loved attending music in the park events.
Don's legacy is carried on by his loving wife, Martha St. Clair; his children, Mark St. Clair (Kelley), Tony St. Clair (Crystal), Chris Edge (Cari), Matt Lee, Mandy Anderson (Haven), and Jacob Lee (Emily); his cherished grandchildren, Carly, Jordan, Riley, Alex, Austin, Michael, Ragan, Margot, Corabelle, Finnegan, Hunter, and Dashiell; and his four beloved great grandchildren, Rian, Brooks, Reagan, and Andrew.
A service to honor Don's life will be held at Hopewell Presbyterian Church in Franklin on Friday, August 23, with visitation from 1:00 to 3:00 pm, followed by the funeral service at 3:00 pm. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kiwanis Club of Greenwood Foundation to benefit Riley Hospital for Children ( PO Box 1403, Greenwood, IN 46142), local scholarships, and other youth programs.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the many friends and family members who have provided moral support, love, and prayers during this difficult time. A special thanks is given to Pastor Brandon Jolley, who has been a constant source of comfort and guidance.
Donald Lee St. Clair will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
