In 1992, he purchased the company and operated it under the name Renovations by Roth for 10 years. He then went on to work for Paul Davis Restoration until retirement at 75 years old. He loved gardening and takin care of his yard. He enjoyed teaching Sunday School and working with the youth at his church.

Dennis and Mary had four children; Curtis Roth (Elise), Pamm Doak (Ed), Doug Roth (Carolyn), and Tim; 7 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren; all of whom, along with his wife Mary, survive.
