Obituary
Delbert Wayne “Doge” McCoy, born January 9, 1949, in Muncie, Indiana, to Leroy and Lois (Moore) McCoy, passed away on October 27, 2024. He shared nearly 57 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Wilma (Green) McCoy.
A dedicated machine operator at General Motors for 30 and a half years, Delbert retired in 2001. He found joy in camping, fishing, hunting, and riding his Harley motorcycles, but above all, cherished his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Delbert is survived by his beloved wife, Wilma McCoy; son, Rex McCoy (fiance, Jessica); daughter, Deanna Haughn (husband, Jeffery); brothers, Gerald McCoy (wife, Ginger), and Michael McCoy (wife, Debbie); sisters, Doris Westerman (husband, David), and Teresa Kennedy (husband, Michael); grandchildren, Ashley Paradis (fiance, Travis), Jordan McCoy, Kriston Hunt (Winsor Barnes), Jeff McCoy, James Hunt, Sarah Haughn, Jordan Butler (wife, Kaycie), Jacob Butler (wife, Katelyn), and Trace Edwards; great-grandchildren, Allen Callahan, Lina’e Grinstead, Andrew Huddleston, Colton Barnes, Hunter Barnes, Shane Edwards, Hunter Edwards, Olivia Butler, and Ella Butler; and several aunt, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
Delbert is preceded in passing by his parents, Leroy and Lois McCoy; and brother, Ernest McCoy; nieces, Rebekah Shockley and Tina McCoy; and nephew, Stacey McCoy.
Family and friends may call at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N St. Rd. 3, Muncie IN 47303, on Monday, November 4th, 2024 from 11:00 - 1:00 PM. The Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM at Garden View Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
