Obituary
David A. Vensko, 70 of Uniontown passed on Saturday,
November 23, 2024 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. Born June 18, 1954 in
Uniontown to the late Andy and Helen (Malachin) Vensko, beloved wife of 48
years to Kathleen (Piwowar) Vensko; He is survived by his sons David E. Vensko,
Matthew Vensko and wife Kristin and Andrew Vensko and wife Jessica and the joy
of his life grandson Ellis Vensko; brother of Frank Vensko, Edward Vensko and
wife Antoinette and numerous nieces and nephews; his mother-in-law Helen
Piwowar, his sister-in-laws, Elizabeth and Margaret Vensko and his other
in-laws, John (Myra) Piwowar, Sandie Costabile, Kathy Piwowar, Richard
(Christy) Piwowar, Ted (Barb) Piwowar, Jim Piwowar, Chris (Patrice) Piwowar and
Cindy (Mark) Koposko. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by
his brothers, Steven, Andrew, John, Joseph and sister-in-laws, Sue, Irene and
Ann Maria, his sisters; Theresa and Agnes and his other in-laws, Tim Piwowar,
Dan Costabile, Chrissa Piwowar and Cathy Piwowar and several nieces and
nephews. He was a graduate of Laurel Highlands High School, had a Bachelor’s
Degree from Penn State University and a Master’s from California University of
PA. Dave worked for 84 Lumber and Sensus. He loved to cook and homebrew and was
devoted to God and his church, a member of St. John the Baptist Byzantine
Church. Visitation at Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext. Uniontown
on Tuesday from 4-8 PM. Parastas at 7:00 PM in the funeral home. A Panachida
service will be held on Wednesday at 10:15 AM at the funeral home followed by a
Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Byzantine
Church, Uniontown. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Byzantine
Cemetery, Hopwood. The family would like to thank Fr. Kyprian Wojciechowski and
Fr. David Bosnich and the staff at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital for their
compassion and support. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to
