Obituary

Clifford Gene Burton, age 77, passed away on June 17, 2023 at his home surrounded by family.
Clifford was born in Morehead, Kentucky on August 6, 1945 to parents William Burton and Thelma Burton (Brown).
Clifford was a member of the Carpenters Union 1016, American Legion, and he was a handy man that did about everything. He was a member at River of Life Church.
Clifford is survived by two sons, Clifford Lee Burton (Kathee) of Muncie and Bill Cooper (Robin) of Muncie; three daughters, Cecilia Kaye Burton of Muncie, Alice Elizabeth Harting (Steven) of Muncie and Jennifer Michelle Baker (Joseph) of Farmland; three sisters, Alvena Pierce of Muncie, Martha Guffy (Jim) of Texas and Deloris Greene of Muncie; three brothers, Junior Burton (Connie) of Winchester, Jimmy Burton (Tammi) of Winchester and Mark Burton (Barbara) of Muncie; thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Clifford was preceded in death by his wife Zelma Burton, his parents, and grandson Dylon Whidby.
Visitation will be held at Garden View Funeral Home on Saturday, June 24 from 11am - 1pm with a funeral service to follow at 1pm, officiated by Kirk VanOoteghem. Burial will take place after the funeral at Gardens of Memory Cemetery with military honors performed by the Delaware County Honor Guard.
