Obituary

Clarence Lee Moore, Greenwood, passed away on the early morning of Tuesday, September 5, 2023. He was 83. Clarence was born November 5, 1939 in Kokomo, Indiana, a son of the late Walter and Mildred Moore.
Clarence attended Kokomo High School and was a member of the graduating Class of 1957. While in high school, Clarence worked at the soda fountain at the Hook Drug Store in Kokomo and shortly after that, he honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. He had been employed with the Ford Motor Company as an electrician and retired in 2002 after 27 years of service. He was a member of the United Auto Workers while working at Ford.
Clarence spent much of his leisure time as a young man fishing and in later years enjoyed his Ford trucks and vans, playing cards - especially Euchre as well as eating out and watching television with his wife. He was always very proud of his military service and of his years with Ford. He was also very proud that in 2002, he bought his first and only home. He was also a long-time member of the American Legion.
Clarence is survived by his wife of 41 years, Myrtle Joyce Moore; his children, Melanie (Bruce) Underwood, Christopher Moore, Laura (Garry) Eby; his step-daughters, Debbie (Mike) Bagley and Lisa (Larry) Harrison; ten grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews as well as his sister, Lois Woods.
He is preceded in passing by his parents.
A family funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am, Friday, September 8, 2023 in the chapel of the Benjamin Franklin Mausoleum at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens where he will be entombed following the service.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 am until time of service Friday at the chapel.
