Obituary
Cathy Sue Coon, 69, passed away unexpectedly on October 30, 2024. Born to
Austin and Shirley Kirklin, Cathy graduated from Wapahani High School in 1973.
She began her career at Maxon Corporation at the age of 18, dedicating 47 years
of service before retiring in December 2020.
In her retirement, Cathy cherished spending time with her grandsons,
attending their sporting events, enjoying fall festivals, and sharing lunch and
special moments with her close friends.
Cathy is survived by her two children, Ryan Coon (Lindsay) and Jami Soultz;
four grandsons, Jegan Soultz, Alex, Parker, and Riley Coon; and two bonus
grandsons, Tyler and Carter Gross. She was preceded in death by her parents,
Austin and Shirley Kirklin, and her brother, Jerry Kirklin.
Cathy will be remembered for all the love she shared with her family and
friends. She truly loved each one of them - and if you knew her, you knew it.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to ARF (Animal Rescue Fund
in Muncie), as Cathy adored her cat, Mosley.
Services will be held at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N State Road 3,
Muncie, IN 47303, on Friday, November 8, 2024, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM,
with the service beginning at 1:00 PM. Pastor Dennis Rush will officiate.
