Obituary
Carol Knudsen-Williams (Shaw), age 77 of Daytona Beach, Florida, peacefully departed to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 20th, 2024. Carol was born and raised in Harlem, New York. She graduated high school at John Adams NYC and went on to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Art from Queens College and was an aspiring artist. She moved to Florida in 1972 with her first husband Ted. Carol loved home decorating as well as architecture and real estate renovation, which she dabbled in with residential and commercial businesses. She went on to get her Master's in Education from the University of Central Florida. She was a devoted schoolteacher, teaching kindergarten and art for over 30+ years. She worked at the family business Paul’s Coins and was involved in her church and community youth programs. Carol selflessly thought of her family first and was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Carol was preceded by her loving sister Sandra Shaw-Williams (Aunt Sandy). Carol was survived by her husband, George Williams; her son, Paul Knudsen; daughters, Amanda Charles and Sona Knudsen; her grandchildren Selena, Trinity, Trent, and Trevor; and great grandchild, Calliope; as well as her loving extended family Annmarie, Kathy, Tom, Stephen, Jessica, Christopher, Serenity and Jaleigh and others. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 4PM on Friday, September 6th at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond, 733 W Granada Blvd, Ormond Beach, FL 32174, (386) 673-1100. A Reception will follow in the Casements Reception Room at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond.
