Obituary

Mrs. Betty C. Bales, age 93, of Ormond Beach, FL., passed away Sunday, August 18, 2024, comfortably in her home surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 24, 1931 in Maysville, KY. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Clayton Bales; parents, John Charles Sr. and Cecelia Conlon: brother, John Charles Conlon, Jr., sisters, Katherine Baumgart, Alice Houston, Dottie Pennington, Irene O'Dell, Anita Jenkins & Mary Pat Conlon. Survived by sisters, Margie Haas & Terri Loyd, both of Cincinnati, OH.; brother, Jim Conlon of Cincinnati, OH. and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces & great nephews. Betty was a Life Member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #3800 in Ormond Beach, FL. She proudly served for over 50 years, loved serving and volunteering with her fraternal family, friends and community. She will be forever be loved and cherished in our hearts.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie # 3800 in Ormond Beach, FL. Interment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA where she will be laid to rest next to her husband, Clayton.
