Mrs. Barbara Ellen Smith, age 71, peacefully departed while surrounded with her loving family.
Barbara was born October 2nd, 1953 in New York City. She moved to the state of Florida in 1975, and has resided in Ormond Beach since 1984. For many years, Barbara was successful in advertising. She flourished while running her business before retiring to become a full time mom, which was her greatest achievement. She was a loving mother and devoted wife, loved by all for her kindness and selflessness. Barbara is survived by her husband of 50 years, John Gregory Smith; her 2 sons, Kurt and Kyle; her 2 daughter-in-laws, Bridget and Rachel; her 2 grandchildren, Kolin and Alec; her 3 siblings, Joey, Carol and Maryann; along with many nieces, nephews, and numerous friends.
A Memorial Service will be held in her honor at 11 AM on Saturday, November 30th, 2024 at Saint Brendan The Navigator Catholic Church, 1000 Ocean Shore Blvd, Ormond Beach, FL 32174. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Halifax Humane Society or Jacksonville Humane Society.
