In Loving Memory of

Angelina Romeo Blair

September 23rd, 1943 - September 13th, 2024

Obituary

Angelina (Angie) Romeo Blair, 80, of Daytona Beach, FL. went home to her heavenly Father on September 13, 2024. Born on September 23, 1943, in Watertown, NY to Antonio Romeo and Anna Cassoni Romeo where she spent her early years in Deferiet, NY before moving to Syracuse, NY in 1959 where she completed her education. Angie enjoyed ice skating, sledding, bowling, and her friends. She then moved to S. Daytona and Holly Hill, FL. where she raised her three children, Joey, Anna, and Billy. Angie retired from the U.A. Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union 295 in Daytona Beach after fourteen years as a bookkeeper and office manager. She met Eddie Blair at L.U. 295 and fell in love, married on April 4, 1985, and moved to Astor (Volusia), Fl. where they enjoyed their home many years fishing and boating on the St. Johns River. They especially enjoyed traveling in their motorhome from 1991 through 2005 until Angie was losing her eyesight and could no longer drive due to macular degeneration. Angie and Eddie relocated to the Pelican Bay Development in July 2011.
She spent many years with the Center for the Visually Impaired (C.V.I.) where she enrolled in several classes learning how to live independently, learning to use computers, and a special class with friends to share ideas with. Angie believed C.V.I. was a wonderful organization with amazing, qualified instructions for training and teaching her and others how to overcome obstacles happening in her life. Angie, Eddie, and her children spent many wonderful times attending family reunions in Carthage, NY. Raising her children, at the time Joey was three, and Anna and Billy were two, was a struggle to do alone. Angie had a very strong faith in God that Always sustained her in the difficult times.
She remembered many wonderful times they had picnicking, canoeing, playing baseball with her friends and their children, watching the children roller skate and surfing. However, it was not too enjoyable when Billy was attacked and bitten by a shark on her birthday. She also enjoyed many trips that they shared and just being together.
Angie was predeceased by her beloved husband, Edwin (Eddie) Blair, her parents, Antonia and Anna (Cassoni) Romeo, her beloved son, Joseph (Joey) Miller, her brother Frank Romeo and her sister-in-law Ruby (Allen) Romeo, and her aunt Grace (Ricco) Cassoni who was much like a second mother to her. Leaving to cherish her memory are her precious daughter Anna Miller Rillman, her son and daughter-in-law William (Billy) and Marcella Miller, her five grandchildren; Alisha Miller Kellner, Alexa Blair Miller, Joseph Anthony Miller, Danielle Yvonne Miller, and Benny Ray Rillman. Her Siblings Andrew (Evelyn) Romeo, Phyllis (Tino) Imbesi, Annie (Tony) Pompo, several nieces, nephews, and cousins especially her cousin Diana (Hutchins) Cassoni with whom she shares a lifetime of wonderful memories. Her closest friend and caregiver, Jean LaMonte.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Westside Baptist Church, 1085 Mason Ave., Daytona Beach, FL 32117, Phone (386-)252-0461 and/or the Center for the Visually Impaired, 1187 Dunn Ave., Daytona Beach, FL 32114, Phone (386)-253-8879.
A visitation will be held for Angie on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at 11:00 AM and funeral service at 12:00 PM at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona. The burial will follow at Daytona Memorial Park.
