Obituary

Mrs. Adalay Popp, 85, of Uniontown, passed away at her residence on Saturday, October 19, 2024.

She was born in Collier, PA on May 27, 1939 to the late James Blaine and Elizabeth Tiffner Pritt.

Adalay married Mr. Wilfred Paul Popp on April 13, 1978.  He preceded her in death on January 22, 2021.

She had a heart of gold, and always thought of others before herself.  She loved to play BINGO, was an avid reader, enjoyed cleaning, and was a good baker, especially her nut and apricot rolls.  Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. 

Adalay is survived by three children, Robert Young and wife Denise, Michele Young and James Beasley, and Carol Robinson all of Uniontown; six grandchildren, Robert Young, Jr. and fiancé Samantha, Joshua Young and fiancé Bethany, Nicole E. Hart, Jasmine Beasley, Maurice J. Robinson, Jr. and wife Jordyn, and Gracie Young; five great grandchildren, Hailey, Isabella, Mason, Judiann, and Eli.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Richard Young; and siblings, Virginia Krizner, Charles Pritt, Noel Pritt, Meridth, Mary Rae Gaster, Clairabelle, and Evelyna Pritt; and dear friend, Delphia Helmick.

Visitation will be held at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, PA 15401 on Friday, October 25 from 11 AM to 1 PM, with the funeral service starting at 1 PM.

Entombment is in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
