WE BEGAN AS A PROMISE
We began as a promise to the Jewish community. You and your family deserve a highly personal funeral service that respects your wishes and the strong traditions of the Jewish people.
Since 1997, Chicago Jewish Funerals has honored this promise. We provide compassionate, concierge-level service with a special sensitivity to Jewish customs and traditions. Day after day, season after season, year after year, people come to us because they know we will be there for them.
INDEPENDENCE MATTERS
One of the important reasons why we can provide such attentive service is that Chicago Jewish Funerals is independently owned. In fact, we are the leading independently-owned, full service Jewish funeral home in the Chicagoland area. We are neither affiliated with, nor a subsidiary of, any national funeral corporation. Our independence allows us to help families arrange a funeral that best meets their needs and responds to specific requests and traditions.
LIFE-AFFIRMING WORK
Today, Chicago Jewish Funerals has become a trusted family tradition. We care for the whole family throughout the funeral process and beyond. The lessons we learn from the families we serve inspires so much of what we do – supporting congregations, education programs, even Little League teams – life-affirming community events that instill our lives with hope, connection, and, at times, a little laughter.
We serve the entire Chicagoland area with locations in Buffalo Grove and from our newest chapel in Skokie.
Independent. Jewish Owned. Since 1997.

SKOKIE CHAPEL
The Chicago Jewish Funerals Skokie Chapel has a sleek, modern design while remaining a calm, comforting environment. The 15,000 square foot chapel, located at 8851 Skokie Boulevard, Skokie, IL, includes two elegantly simple, light-filled chapels. The large chapel seats 250 people while the smaller is more intimate, seating 50 people. Each chapel has an attached private family room for the gathering before and after services. The rooms themselves have private bathrooms, seating, and multiple beverage options. Each chapel is equipped with monitors and sound systems to accommodate multimedia presentations, photo montages, and musical tributes. The building also includes a Mikva for Tahara and a Kohain building. The handicapped accessible building has all public spaces, chapels, arrangement rooms and casket selection rooms on the main floor. There is a large skylight in the lobby, allowing natural light to stream in during the day. Ample parking is available and there are two entrances into the parking lot: one on Greenwood Street (North side) and one on Enfield Avenue (South Side).
